Atlantic Bank gives back during the Holiday Season.

Every year, during the Christmas Season, the management and staff of Atlantic Bank contribute both personally and financially to giving back to those in need. In support of our local charitable organizations, Atlantic Bank gave donations of $1,000 each to the Salvation Army, Stella Maris School, and the Mercy Care Centre. In addition, each Atlantic Bank branch made contributions to various local non-profit organizations and schools. Overall, Atlantic Bank donated over $10,000 to our communities this Christmas Season.

The following branches contributed to the donations:


Freetown Branch
Atlantic Bank with the assistance of the Palottine Sisters fed homeless individuals in Belize City.  Homeless people enjoyed the homemade food prepared and distributed by Atlantic Bank staff at Palotti High School on Princess Margaret Drive in BelizeCity. 

 

Orange Walk Branch
For the second year, five food hampers were distributed to help parents be able to provide Christmas dinner.  These hampers were filled with all the necessities to prepare a full course meal were given to families of Orange Walk and surrounding villages.  Besides this, $500 worth of toys were also distributed to children in these areas. 

 

Caye Caulker Branch
Caye Caulker Branch distributed toys to help bring smiles to the faces of children in their community.  One hundred primary school children received gifts from Atlantic Bank during the Christmas Season.  Gifts included balls and games and other fun items for the boys and girls. 

Corozal Branch
Atlantic Bank Corozal Branch donated to Help Age home for the elderly by preparing a Christmas party filled with food, gifts, and music.  HelpAge has served the community of older persons in Belize, with care and compassion by providing outreach, residential and nursing services, developing and implementing educational programmes and engaging in some research and advocacy work.  Atlantic Bank shares in this message and was glad they could help by throwing a Christmas party for the residents.

San Ignacio Branch
San Ignacio Branch held a Christmas party to promote a sense of community for the children in the Cayo community.  The party was held in the parking lot of San Ignacio Branch on Burns Ave.  Children from five primary schools were invited to this event.  The children enjoyed a nutritious lunch, gifts, party bags, and even a visit from Ozzy the Clown.

 

Collet Agency
Collet Agency made a donation of care packages and gave assistance to shelters for the homeless; Gann’s Women’s Shelter and Raymond Parks Night Shelter at Orange Street in Belize City.  Residents from the homeless shelter were grateful for not only the donations, but the time that our staff spent with them for the holidays.

 

Belmopan Branch
Belmopan branch prepared and distributed ten food hampers to needy families in the neighbouring villages of Las Flores and San Martin.  Atlantic Bank staff were happy to be able to help the community in this small way.  The food hampers included all ingredients to prepare a tasty Christmas dinner and a gift certificate to purchase a Christmas turkey. 

 

Albert Street Branch
The staff of Albert Street branch hosted a party to celebrate Christmas with the children from the South Side of Belize City; not only did the kids have fun, but our staff had a great time as well.  Everyone helped in making the party enjoyable for the children with the preparing of Christmas dinner as well as party bags.  Even Santa was able to make an appearance and distribute gifts. 

 

San Pedro Branch
San Pedro Branch made a donation to the Rotary Club of Belize.  This donation will contribute toward projects, large and small, which have benefited the Belizean community.  The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

 

Placencia Branch
Placencia Brach held a Christmas party for the children at Hosanna House Orphanage in an effort to make their Christmas season a little brighter.  Hosanna House is located between Middlesex and Pomona Valley on the Hummingbird Highway. Placencia staff spent time with the twenty-four children at the orphanage and distributed Christmas gifts to them.
