Awards Ceremony

On Wednesday October 25th, 2023, Atlantic Bank hosted a spectacular night of creativity and celebration at their Art Competition Awards Ceremony. The event brought together the finest budding young artists, fifteen winners in the Primary School category and fifteen winners in the High School category were recognized at the awards ceremony. These young artists created the winning pieces based on this year’s theme, “Changing Belize, Impacting the World.”

Mr. Jose Chan, the Freetown Branch Manager, gave the welcome address emphasizing the importance of nurturing artistic talent from an early age. He highlighted how art ignites imagination and self-expression and promotes new avenues of learning.

The most unforgettable moment of the evening was the presentation of the awards. Mr. Gregory Maheia, our Managing Director, congratulated the young artists as he handed them their certificates and prizes. As the winners’ names were announced, their faces lit up with joy and a profound sense of pride and accomplishment. Their friends and family were also happy to participate in the celebration. Atlantic Bank also recognized the importance of schools in nurturing these young talents. The top winners’ schools received cash prizes to assist with their art programs.

The ceremony concluded with a promise to continue nurturing the artistic talents of our community, inspiring creativity, and fostering a love for art among our youth.
